Capturing Evaluations
Evaluations are captured in the Management module (see screenshot). The main approach is:
- Capturing the First Rand (ZAR) details - First Evaluation and the Date. This will rarely change and is normally the evaluation at the time of capturing the data. Note: if have historical evaluations you can either change the First Evaluation or used Evaluation History to keep a record of any evaluations over time.
- The Latest Rand Evaluation is the one that always changes, both the Date and actual Evaluation, i.e. it is always the latest one. This means at any point you can see a First and Latest evaluation.
- Notes about the Rand evaluation can be recorded as well.
Currency Evaluation
Apart from the Rand Evaluations you can capture an Evaluation according to a Currency (see screenshot). This is captured in the Management module:
- Capture the Currency of the evaluation, using the recognized acronym.
- The Evaluation Currency Amount is important, not only for the evaluation in the currency, but it is also used to globally update the Latest Evaluation (see note below).
- Then record the Date (default is today's date) and the Rate.
- Then who recorded the evaluation (default is Editor) and any Notes regarding the currency evaluation.
Important: the Latest Rand Evaluation can be updated manually, i.e. simply editing and updating it, or it can be globally be updated according to a Currency (see link below).
